Frequently Asked Questions:
Can educational institutions use Autodesk software under an education license to conduct research? Yes, as long as the research is conducted by students or faculty as part of the institution’s accredited educational programs. Research conducted by commercial programs or entities affiliated with the educational institution for commercial purposes is not considered part of the institution’s accredited educational programs; therefore, Autodesk software under an education license cannot be used for such research.
Does Autodesk offer free software access for individual students and teachers? Yes. Students and teachers can visit the Autodesk Education Community and download one or more Autodesk software products for use on their personal devices.
Is an institutional email address required? You are not required to use a university email address to join the educational community; however, you will need to provide the university’s URL during the registration process.
