The UMH has a campus license for both Trend Micro and OfficeScan to provide antivirus coverage for desktop PCs, laptops, and servers for Microsoft and Mac operating systems.

All computer equipment connected to the UMH network must have the corporate antivirus contracted by the University installed. If, for any reason, it is not possible to install this product on a device, the person in charge must inform the IT Infrastructure Service, which will seek the most appropriate technical solution for each case.

The IT Infrastructure Service reserves the right to deactivate the network point if a connected device does not have the corporate antivirus properly installed and updated, in order to protect other network users.

If a user wishes to connect to the UMH network from home, they will also be obliged to have the UMH corporate antivirus software installed and properly updated. For reasons of network security and for the safety of other UMH users, the IT Services reserve the right to deny access if this measure is not followed.
