Description: Miguel Hernández University provides the university community with Office 365, featuring a series of tools that will be introduced in different phases. In the first phase, users can download the Office Professional Plus package for installation on up to 5 devices (Windows or Mac).

Office Professional Plus consists of the following tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and OneNote. Although Skype for Business and OneDrive are included in the package, it will not be possible to use these two services during the first phase. Office 365 offers users the full installation of Office ProPlus on their devices, with 5 licenses for PC or Mac.

Recipients:

• UMH Staff.
• UMH students in official degree programs.
• Alumni (online version only).

Requirements: The device where it is installed must have an internet connection, as Microsoft periodically verifies online that the user license is still valid. Once the user’s affiliation with UMH ends, the product will no longer be available after the next license check performed by Microsoft.

Once the software is installed on your computer, to activate the product it is very important that you follow these steps the first time you start any of the tools in the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.):

• In the “Activate Office” window that appears, you must enter your UMH username followed by @miumh.umh.es. Your username is the text before the “@” in your UMH email address. If you are a student and do not know your ALU username or email address, you can check it at this link.

• Next, a window containing our Centralized Authentication Service will appear; you only need to validate yourself using your usual credentials.

• You will receive confirmation that the product has been activated and you can start using any tool in the Office suite. Remember that OneDrive and Skype for Business, although installed by default, cannot be used in this initial launch phase of Office 365.

Conditions of Access and Use: The @miumh accounts and their associated tools will always be available free of charge for members of the Miguel Hernández University community. UMH reserves the right to temporarily or permanently interrupt the Office 365 service based on changes in the agreement with Microsoft or even a possible termination or migration of the provider.

Users must make correct and loyal use of this website, refraining from performing any type of action that could cause harm or prejudice to Miguel Hernández University. The University is not responsible for data loss or system failures and recommends making alternative backup copies.
