Software Catalog

5 March 2026

The IT Infrastructure Service centralizes the acquisition of campus software licenses for common or general-use classrooms at the University, budgeted by the Vice-Rectorate for Studies. This takes advantage of the favorable conditions for high-volume purchases and educational licenses offered by companies, while also managing software maintenance contracts that provide product updates and technical support.

Specific software licenses are managed directly by the departments, schools, or faculties that require them, charged to their own budgets.

Licenses can be of two types: concurrent or single-user.

  • Concurrent licenses are hosted on a license server; although they can be installed on as many PCs as needed, only the maximum number of licenses purchased can be run simultaneously.

  • Single-user licenses can only be installed on the specific number of PCs for which licenses are held.
