The IT Infrastructure Service, in accordance with the management of the Miguel Hernández University, has the following functions:

  • IT Service Desk Management (CAU):
    • IT incident management.
    • IT hardware repair management.
  • IT equipment and corporate software management:
    • IT equipment management for PDI (Teaching and Research Staff) and PAS (Administrative and Service Staff).
    • Installation of corporate software.
    • Centralised printing service for PAS.
    • Corporate databases – Oracle.
  • Communication services management:
    • Telephony network management:
      • Landline telephony.
      • Mobile telephony.
      • Videoconferencing.
    • UMH network management:
      • Wired network.
      • WIFI network.
      • Remote network access (VPN).
  • IT labs management:
    • Management and maintenance of teaching lab equipment.
    • Management and maintenance of research lab equipment.
  • Campus and teaching licensing management:
    • Microsoft Campus Agreement.
    • Teaching software licenses.
    • Institutional software licenses.
    • Office 365 Portal (MiUMH).
  • Audiovisual media management:
    • Management and maintenance of audiovisual media.
  • Data Centre management (CPD):
    • Management and maintenance of Elche and San Juan Data Centres.
