These applications are referred to as <strong>&#8220;institutional standard software.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The SII also manages the maintenance and support services associated with these applications to ensure their proper operation and provide assistance with technical issues.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The current <strong>campus licenses<\/strong> and agreements are:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"6\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Microsoft campus software licenses<\/b>, which provide access to the following applications:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"6,0,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,1,0,0\">Office Professional for office productivity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,1,1,0\">Microsoft Outlook for e<span class=\"citation-12016 citation-12017 citation-end-12017\">mail.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,1,2,0\"><span class=\"citation-12014 citation-12015 citation-end-12015\">Client Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows operating system upgrades, provided that the computers have a qualifying base license.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\"><span class=\"citation-12012 citation-12013 citation-end-12013\">Adobe Acrobat Professional <\/span><\/b><span class=\"citation-12012 citation-12013 citation-end-12013\">for creating, editing, and managing PDF documents.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\"><span class=\"citation-12010 citation-12011\">Microsoft Select Academic Agreement (SELECT)<\/span><\/b><span class=\"citation-12010 citation-12011 citation-end-12011\">, wh<\/span><span class=\"citation-12010 citation-end-12010\">ich provides a simple and flexible <\/span>pricing system.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,3,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Antivirus<\/b>: A campus license for Trend Micro products is currently available.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,4,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,4,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Autodesk Education Portal<\/b>, which provides students and faculty with free access to Autodesk software.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,5,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,5,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Turnitin<\/b>: Available to faculty, this tool checks the level of similarity between documents and is especially useful for bachelor&#8217;s theses, master&#8217;s theses, and doctoral dissertations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,6,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,6,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">CYPE Agreement<\/b>, which allows students at the UMH Higher Polytechnic School to download CYPE software.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>MATLAB and Simulink<\/strong> in online and desktop versions, available on and off campus from any device.<br \/>\n<b data-path-to-node=\"6,7,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\"><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,5,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,5,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Ansys <\/b>for students and faculty through its education program.<br \/>\n<b data-path-to-node=\"6,7,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\"><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Office 365<\/strong> for the university community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>UMH Virtual Desktop<\/h2>\n<p>You can access and use the available software through your <a href=\"https:\/\/escritoriosvirtuales.umh.es\/uds\/page\/services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VIRTUAL DESKTOP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Need help?<\/h3>\n<p>If you have questions about campus licenses, available agreements, or software access, submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/universite.umh.es\/ticketing\/ticket\/unidad\/CAU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>request through the CAU.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IT Infrastructure Service (SII) manages software licenses and agreements for commonly used applications available to UMH administrative and services staff (PTGAS), teaching and research staff (PDI), and students.
